This is Ms. Smith’s first year teaching at WCHS. Here’s the inside look at what she’s like. She graduated Rend Lake College, then from SIU Carbondale. She teaches high school English 1A, Speech, Grammar 3, English 1101, and English 1102.

Ms. Smith stays busy with her twins in kindergarten named Asa and Hannah. She is also a Freshman class sponsor and PBIS leader. When asked what that was like, she said, “Busy, busy, busy!” She also added, “It helps me get to know my students outside of a classroom, and everyone, both teachers and students, are excited for MORP and maybe getting PBIS set up for second semester!”

Ms. Smith doesn’t just teach, she also works part-time at Harley Davidson and recently went to a Kid Rock concert.“I [like] working in my hometown, and I love the new building!” she said, when asked how she liked working here so far. She is glad to be at WCHS.
