  1. The first step in upgrading anything is to clean house. So, in your closet or dresser find things that are too small, not your style, or you haven’t worn in over a year. If you have no use for these things anymore, there’s no reason to have them. (The same goes for shoes!)
  2. Find your style. This can be done in many different ways, and everyone is different. You could look over pictures of yourself, start planning outfits, pick a color, or simply pick a theme. Some easy themes to pick from would be athletic, goth, grunge, punk, country, modern, comfy, etc.
  3. Start getting little accessories that fit your chosen style. Bracelets, rings, necklaces, and scarves are all good choices to start with. Once you have chosen your style, you may have a main color scheme or pattern you like, or even a metal or type of jewelry.
  4. To style yourself correctly, you can look up tips or make something completely your own. Layer, wear tights with shorts, boots with a dress, three rings on one finger, there are no rules anymore. It’s 2019 everyone. Do what you what.
