On Thursday, November 9, the November Senior of the Month title was awarded to McKayla Reynolds-Easley. The teachers vote once a month on the most involved and active senior students throughout Wayne City High School and are tallied by the high school secretary, Mrs. Kathy Braddock. The person with the most votes will be awarded Senior of the Month.
Reynolds-Easley is involved in Apologetix, Beta Club, FFA, and Journalism. She also works a part-time job at Hobby Lobby in Mount Vernon. Reynolds-Easley is a very active member in her church, volunteering with the children’s program. She is an outgoing individual in the school, always making sure no one around her is sitting alone. She cares deeply for her peers and loves to interact with everyone around her. She is an active student during class time as well.
Mrs. Laura Miller, the Family Consumer Science teacher says, “McKayla is a joy to have in class. I can always depend on her to participate in class discussion, which is really nice.”
Reynolds-Easley is loved by the teachers she has classes with.
Mrs. Jessica Fagan the Music Appreciation and Band teacher said, “I love having her in Music Appreciation. She always has a smile on her face and a fun story to tell.”
She was very excited to receive this award.
McKayla Reynolds-Easley said, “I am happy that I got it. I was really hoping I would get it eventually but, funny enough, I did not hear when they announced it, Mrs. Miller told me.”
