Every year after prom, attendees are allowed to sign up and go to after prom. Normally, after prom is held at a place where kids are free to play and be kept entertained for a few hours. After prom was held at Sky Zone in Fairview Heights, Illinois, for roughly three hours. There, kids were able to jump, do flips, play basketball, slide, do obstacle courses and play arcade games. This year 140 kids attended after prom and 17 adults chaperoned, which is the most we have had in a few years. Out of these students, at least 25 were from a different school. Many students claimed that this was the best after prom that they have attended. Half way through the night, many different fresh hot pizzas came out for the kids, along with lots of drinks.
Javen Loker said, “I had fun, and I played lots of basketball with my buddies. I even won the dunk contest.”
“I loved smoking Kenzie in the face at dodgeball. The bus ride seemed long, but was totally worth it once we got to Sky Zone,” said Emma Griswold.
Prom coordinator, Angie Kelly said, “It was a lot of fun, thankfully there was only one injury. The pizza they gave was pretty good, and everyone seemed to have a good time, they all jumped until we left, which was a good sign. The chaperones seemed to enjoy the message chairs at sky zone; Ashley Musgrave accidentally put 20 dollars in and let everyone use the chair during the hours time.”
