October 14, a new club is starting at Wayne City High School for the students who want to stand up and make a change in the school and the community. Senior Alayna White and Junior Caleb Young have spent their time working together to make this club, the Wayne City High School Turning Point USA Club America, possible at the school. Vice President Caleb Young said, “I am looking forward to being able to inspire others through the sharing of my political beliefs in Christian faith.” President Alayna White said, “Taking on the task of starting a new club seemed to be overwhelming at first, but I knew that this was a calling that God had placed on my life. Through lots of prayer, I have been guided to start the first-ever Wayne City High School Turning Point USA chapter. Being able to share perspectives, while standing up for Christian values is exactly what I aim to embody with this club.” Based on taking a stand for American Values, the club formed based on The Turning Point USA, one of the largest student-led organizations in the United States. Many other students are eager to join and be a part of this new club, with some staff members looking forward to seeing what these students are capable of doing with this opportunity. The club will be sponsored by Charlene Barnard, a paraprofessional at the school.
