Excuses. The time honored tradition of people making up reasons they can’t gets things done. Today’s excuse topic? Excuses during school.

Everyone does it, everyone has lied at least once about not doing their homework, even teachers. Mrs. Mays, the WCHS math teacher said, “I usually lie about getting homework graded.”

Why do people have so many excuses? No one may ever know, maybe it’s because people want to cover up the fact they just don’t want to do things. Meghan Anderson, a sophomore, answered just that. She said “I usually make up excuses so I can get out of doing something I don’t want to.”

While Meghan answered why she usually makes excuses, Dane Horton, a junior, was asked what the excuse he uses most often for not doing his homework was. He answered he usually tells teachers he was busy and couldn’t get his homework done.
