The last year of High School at Wayne City, students can choose to have “the senior privilege” which is a period of class they don’t have to attend. Most of the students who decide to get the privilege have a blank in the last hour of their schedule. However some of them have privileges during the first and the last hour on certain days.

Reasons to want this special treatment are abundant. The first and the most common is that they don’t need any classes dispensed during those hours which is why, they rather prefer going home or spend their time doing something that matters to them. The second reason is that students have something to do after school like sports or work and by finishing earlier, they can spend time on their homework, scholarships and applications for college/university and help at home. Finally, the last reason is to have some personal time to rest and be in shape for the rest of the day.
