Well look at that, you finally got that girl who is way out of your league to go on a date with you!  Every guy who ever actually felt something for a girl, not just for what they want after the date, knows how it feels before the first date.  If you truly like the girl you asked out, then you probably are going to get nervous, but don’t worry!  Any guy can get any girl to have fun on a date as long as you follow these simple rules!

First step: Have confidence.  No girl wants to go on a date with a guy who is so nervous he’s sliding around in his seat from sweat. Remember she already agreed to go on a date which means she is interested.  There is a fine line between confidence and being cocky.  Don’t just talk yourself up the whole time, allow her to talk about herself, and really listen.

Second step: Listen to her. Girls really like it when a guy listens to what they have to say. A good way to be sure that you’re listening to what they say is not to look at her lips, or anything else that is attractive to you. Look at her eyes or even her forehead if you have to.  That way, when she wants you to say something back you actually have something to say other than, “You have pretty lips.”  At this point they know you have not been listening, and you played yourself completely.

Third step: Be cool.  Let’s say you go to the movies and she sees a friend or two and goes to talk to them. Don’t just stand around like a puppy waiting for her and not saying anything.  Either go buy the popcorn and drinks, or introduce yourself.  Don’t butt into a conversation, just slide in when you can.  Don’t stand there taking away her friends attention.  Give her some time to talk with her friend and maybe even walk away for a minute.  They may want to talk about you.

The last step is to just be yourself.  Don’t change to suit another person or else it will be the longest date of your entire life.  Girls have a way of telling when guys are being honest around them and if you’re being fake, they will not want to be themselves either.  Just be yourself and follow these steps and your first date should be one to remember.
