Sherry Jones has lived in Wayne County all her life. Her birthday is August 12, 1971 and she is 47 years old.  She has two siblings, an older brother named Shannon Henson and a little brother named Nathaniel Burgess. She went to grade school at Orchardville School in Orchardville, Illinois and went to Wayne City High School in Wayne City, Illinois. Sherry attended Rend Lake Community College, Kaskaskia College, and Southern Illinois University. She has her Associates Degree in Science for general studies; Associates Degree in Applied Science for Physical Therapy Assisting; and Bachelor of Science Degree in Workforce Education and Development. She said, “I love learning, and if I could get paid to attend college all the time and learn about a lot of different things, I would love to.” Sherry has previously worked as a Bank Teller, Marketing Representative, Physical Therapist Assistant, and Rehab Manager. She currently works at Legacy Healthcare at Green Tree Assisted Living and Memory Care in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. When asked why she works there she replied, “I love working with the geriatric population, and it is a very nice facility.” Sherry is married to Scott Jones, and they have been married for 21 years. She has “one perfect daughter,” Emilee Jones. She is 16 and “the biggest blessings in our lives.”
