Xiaomi has recently revealed there fold-in-three smartphone. The smartphone that transforms into a tablet by folding out two parts of its display bent behind its back has been unveiled by Xiaomi. The prototype was revealed on the social media site Weibo. The post asked the public to help name the phone.

One of the problems with this fold-in-three phone is the fold. The video on Weibo has already been played nearly 3.5 million times and has thousands of comments. The innovation of this phone will come at a steep price, at least when the first devices go on sale. It is unclear as yet what use cases manufacturers will promote to justify the added cost. Another concern is the additional bulk that the fold creates. “However, there is no doubt a smartphone with a folding screen will be a magnet for gadget lovers,” said Ben Wood.
