Missionaries on a Mission
August 30, 2019
On July 8-19, Jayla Pendleton and Jayden Bailey went to Summer Worship University in Hannibal, Missouri and was part of the 2019 IBSA All-State Youth Choir. The All-State Youth Choir’s destination this year was in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The IBSA All-State Youth Choir provides students who have finished grades 9-12 an opportunity to use their musical gifts in service to the Lord through singing and missions. While the All-State Choir provides an excellent opportunity for all musical students, it is particularly beneficial for homeschoolers, students who attend churches with less opportunity to serve in worship ministry, students that are gifted in worship leadership, or for any interested in using the tool of music to share the gospel. In order to be in the IBSA All-State Youth Choir, the students had to send in an audition video. Jayden Bailey stated, “My favorite part was using my talent, singing, for the Lord.” This was Jayla’s first time attending. She stated, “It was a life-changing opportunity.”
