Say No to Drugs

Get ready for Red Ribbon Week, put on by the Red Ribbon Team. The week will be full of themed dress-up days, prizes, and a chance to speak against drugs. Starting off the week on Monday October 25, be sure to wear a team jersey and cheer on everyone to make great choices. Tuesday is the day to put on boots and partner up against drugs. Wednesday is designed for relaxation under the classroom lights with shades and lots of sunscreen. Thursday is generation day,  babies (freshmen), toddlers (sophomores), parents (juniors), and seniors will be the grandparents. Junior, Chase Smith said, “I can not wait let out my inner goofy side, and I am thrilled to show off my outfits I have picked out.”

Red Ribbon Week will be an exciting week for students to show off their school spirit and fun outfits they have planned. Madeline Boyd, a junior on the Red Ribbon Team, exclaimed, “I am looking forward to Red Ribbon Week because it will be fun to take pictures for journalism of everyone in their themed attire. I’m mostly excited to wear my pink cowgirl hat!” On generation day, the last day of the event, a special prize will be rewarded for the two best dressed in each grade. This will be a great chance to have students go all out and dress up in their assigned generation. Although it is a fun week of dressing up, this week is all about encouraging students to be drug free and make good choices. Freshman Rainey Loker, said, “I am so excited for Red Ribbon Week, and I’m so ready to be able to dress up with my friends.”
