Eggsciting Plans
March 18, 2022
On April 16, the Wayne City High School junior class will be the secret Easter bunnies of Wayne County. The students will hide the ordered candy-filled eggs in the backyard/front yard between 8-10 p.m. These can be ordered for the buyers children, friends, neighbors, or whoever they may choose to be “egged.” Junior Jovi Horton exclaimed, “I can not wait to be the Easter bunny.” The junior class will be taking orders up until April 5. The eggs are priced at 20 for $10, 40 for $20, 60 for $30, and 80 for $40. This fundraiser will be a great opportunity for the junior class to add funds towards their senior trip. A few of the jobs will be, filling all the eggs with pre-packaged candy, taping the eggs, delivering, and hiding the them. They have been working very hard for each fundraiser and this one is one that will not only be a money-maker, but also a great time to bond with their fellow classmates. Kelby Wood, a junior in charge of order taking stated, “I think this fundraiser will be successful because it is something new that we haven’t seen any one do yet. I am really looking forward to delivering eggs with my friends and making new memories.”
