On October 6, the Wayne City Lady Indians volleyball team will be hosting a pink out game for their very own Ruth Kissner. The Lady Indians will be facing the Woodlawn Cardinals, the two teams will be competing for the conference championship. Mrs. Kissner is a very important lady in our school, she has helped numerous students throughout the years. Now we are able to give back to her just a fraction of what she has given to Wayne City high school graduates. Senior Jovi Horton stated, “I’m happy that we are able to do this for Mrs.Kissner, I think it is great that we have this opportunity to help someone in our community.” The FFA will be serving a meal from Randy Mason by donation, starting at 4:30 prior to the start of the junior varsity game. During the game, there will be a silent auction set up with numerous items that were donated from various clubs and organizations from the school and people throughout the community. BLR designs had an order out for shirts so anyone in the community could buy one and wear it to the game. Both teams will be wearing special shirts to support Mrs. Kissner during the night. The audience is asked to come decked out in all pink attire. Pep Club member Chase Smith says, “I cannot wait to dress up in all pink to show my support for the Lady Indians team and also for Mrs. Kissner.”
