On Sunday October 30, Wayne City Matters will be hosting their 5th annual Fall Carnival and trunk or treat at the Wayne City Baptist Church. There will be lots of games, contests, and tons of candy to be given out that night as well as an area for kids to dress up for trunk or treating. There is always a huge turnout for trunk or treat, so the Wayne City FFA Chapter will be hosting a movie under the stars in the school parking lot in hopes families will stick around. After the trunk or treat around 7pm, they will be playing the new movie, Hocus Pocus 2. The movie will be projected on a big screen on the side of the building for it to be visible for all to see. FFA officer Jaiden Brown said, ”We thought this would be a nice addition to the Fall Carnival for the families to sit out and watch a movie together.”

Families are asked to bring their lawn chairs, blankets, and loungers so they can watch the movie from their own comfort. Angela Hedden, member of Wayne City Matters said, ”This night brings lots of laughter, love for one another, and spreading joy is contagious! It makes your soul happy to be a part of bringing happiness.” This event is something the community looks forward to every year, so the FFA decided they wanted to add to the holiday fun. Community member Staci Legg said, ”I think it is a wonderful idea for my kids and I to go watch since I haven’t had the chance to watch it yet.”
