On February 9, the Lady Indians played against the Lady Aces. They have already played against each other in the Merry Mules Tournament at Fairfield. However, this night was really important for seniors Addison Seidel, Paige Greenwalt and Alessia Lonano, because it was their last home game. Junior Greenlea Vaughan, sophomore Kenna Anselmet and freshmen Kenzie Seidel and Kendall Barnfield decorated the gym and the locker room for the occasion. They gave a basket with some candies and chips to each senior, a box with their favorite snacks, and a gift card. The seniors thought the team did a really good job and all the seniors appreciated the thoughtful gifts. Senior Paige Greenwalt said, “I really appreciated the snacks and gifts the girls got for us seniors. They made this season very enjoyable and I will for sure miss them.”

Before the national anthem, all the seniors were recognized. Coach Hunter Clark gave each player a rose and a box with some photos, candies, and a key chain in it. After a close first quarter, Mt. Carmel dominated the rest of the game, winning over more than 15 points. Senior Alessia Lonano said, ” We already knew that we would probably lose. Their post players are really huge and the team is really strong and well prepared, but our team played really well. I had a really beautiful night. I enjoyed being one of the five starters!” After the game and a bunch of pictures the team had pizza and muffins to celebrate the end of the season.
