Bean Queen Contestants: Who will take the Crown?

It is almost time for Wayne City’s annual Bean Queen. Wondering when it is? Who the contestants are? Bean Queen will be held in the performance gym Saturday, September 16. Contestants run ages kindergarten through third grade and all high school students. The winners of the Miss Bean Queen Pageant will be escorted through the Bean Days parade and will be selling raffle tickets at the rodeo following. Last year’s winners were JaLisa Trotter and Addison Milligan.

There are thirty young girls running for the Little Miss Bean Queen. Contestants are: Paisley Simpson, Sophia Baker, Aaliyah Simpson, Auburn Peyton, Lilliana Smith, Isabella Smith, Ava Minor, Harper Beehn, Tessa Miller, Tegan Bowsher, Lillian Renner, Caylan Rutherford, Anistyn White, Adley White, Breanna Harrison, Amelia Thomason, Adalyn Sherlock, Hannah Smith, Kynlie Rightnowar, Kennedi Hammond, Hailey Adcock, Kylie Coy, Hanlee Wilson, Khyia Smith, Kelsey Millikan, Macy Wiggins, Lilianna Moore, Ryleigh Fuller, Olivia Reed, and Jaylie Coy. Third grader, Ava Minor said, “I am most excited about wearing my new dress for Bean Queen.” We asked retiring Little Miss Bean Queen, Addison Milligan what her favorite part about being queen was she responded, “Winning it last year, of course!”

The high school contestants running for Miss Bean Queen are Leah Marvel, Lillian Borah, Abby Atwood, Mackenzie Smith, Jayden Bailey, Molly McNeil, Christina Garrison, Jayla Pendleton, Reneki Embry, Annie Wilkerson, and Abby Bowsher. Senior, Abby Bowsher proclaimed, “It is my last year of Bean Queen and I am going to make it count.” Another Senior, Christina Garrison stated, “I am looking forward to beating Abby Bowsher this year.” Mark the calendar and come out to watch the Miss Bean Queen Pageant.
