Full House

Kyle Sledge

If you thought having one or two siblings was bad, what would you do if you were like Dane Horton and had five?  Dane, one of many, has siblings older and younger than him.  Even with five siblings, Dane said he’s the favorite, his reason being “I’m the nicest.”

Dane’s five siblings are almost all different ages. They are 12, 23, 28, 28, and 29.  In that order, his siblings’ names are Jovi, Mara, Gage, LeAnna, and Brittney.  Dane’s favorite sibling is his sister Mara because “She’s nicer and funnier than the others.”  Dane was asked what the benefits of having this many siblings were.  He said “It’s always fun when we get together and do stuff.”  There are drawbacks to this too, he said “There’s more people to rat on you if you do something wrong.”

Dane isn’t the only one out of his siblings that has went to our school.  All of his older siblings except LeAnna have graduated from Wayne City and his little sister is currently in junior high.  He said his older siblings have helped him out a bit in school, saying “They have little tips every now and then.”

Having siblings isn’t an option but it’s something you have to live with.  Like any other kid with brothers or sisters, Dane shares a common opinion, saying “Yea it sucks but it helps being the favorite.”  It’s pretty obvious where he thinks he stands in the family.
