On The Road to Renaissance

A poll of 50 people, students and staff alike, was taken in Wayne City High School on whether people like to change up who they hang out with when at school or not. The results were more surprising than the elite members of the secret society of yearbook and Warhoop editors had expected.  Only 21 out of 50 people said no that they did not switch up who they hung out with throughout the day.

That means that 29 people out of 50 actually like to get around and try to socialize with more people instead of just staying with the same people all day.  This is surprising to many, because more often than not people barely even socialize with the people they prefer to be around.  Anymore, it seems people are so addicted to their phones that they can barely even carry a conversation without looking down at their phones.  The average teenager spends over 9 hours on their cell phone.  That’s longer than the entire school day itself!

With more people switching back to actually talking and trying to talk to more people instead of sitting on their phones or sitting around the same people all day, we could be on track for a Renaissance.  The Renaissance came about after a lot of new technology was invented and then steadied off a little bit.  People got used to what was around and decided to channel their interests into finding more pleasing things.  Insanity has actually been related to the lack of social interaction for extended periods of time or even not being comfortable in the social group said person is affiliated.

Then new inventions started coming back around and people no longer wanted to find peaceful things for us to enjoy but rather things that would make life easier and faster for us.  Hopefully more people wanting to socialize and talk rather than close themselves off means that we are on a one way road back to the creativity and social status that the Renaissance had to offer.
