The Farm Follies is an annual event that takes place in DuQuoin, IL during the DuQuoin Fair. The Wayne City FFA has attended this event for as long as they can remember. The FFA members that attended included Chasidy Greenwalt, Caitlyn Dickey, Kendy Anderson, Hallie Musgrave, Adam Loker, Austin Schuster, Isaac Loker, Dalton Smith, Chelsey Greenwalt, Adlee Stephenson, Zane Kelly, Clark Anderson, Colt Henson, Mitchell Leas, with their sponsor Mrs. Jennifer Ehrhart.

Farm Follies had multiple events in which students could participate including tug of war, bale stacking, bale toss, back seat driving, tarp fold, shovel race, water balloon toss, and dizzy bat race. Wayne City’s FFA overall placed fourth out of twenty-nine schools. Wayne City loves getting to join in on the fun every year at Farm Follies and are already planning how to get first at next year’s Farm Follies.

Wayne City’s FFA chapter president Chasidy Greenwalt said, “I had a great time competing against many schools in District 5. I also got to catch up with some of my closest FFA friends that I met while attending the Washington Leadership Conference this summer. It was a great way to kick off the start of the FFA year!”
