National FFA Convention

On October 24-27, the 91st Annual National Future Farmers of America Convention was held in Indianapolis, Indiana. Several Wayne City FFA members attended the National Convention. The officers left early Wednesday morning and returned Saturday night, while the rest of the members, left early Thursday morning and returned Friday afternoon. While there, they went to a session held in the Bankers Life Field House, which is the home of the NBA team, the Indiana Pacers. They spent a majority of their time in the Convention Center, which was located just across from the Pacers Stadium. There they received free merchandise along with getting to go to the Convention Center’s Mega Store and shop for all sorts of clothing. Our FFA president, Chasidy Greenwalt, stated, “Convention is a time to meet all kinds of new people from all over the United States and to catch up with old friends. I have enjoyed attending National Convention over the past few years, but I would have to say this year was by far my favorite. We had some pretty awesome opportunities. I think I can speak for all Wayne City FFA members when I say we had fun.”
