Seniors Scramble for College

That time of year is coming fast once again, and, no, it’s not Christmas. Its college time. As a Junior, preparing for college can be just as important, but the load a Senior has can be way larger. Senior Hanah Cooper said, “I spend countless hours of my week working on scholarships and researching more into the college I’ve chosen to attend.”

From scholarships to college days, Seniors have a full plate.  Starting the first week of school and going until the last few weeks, there are scholarships applications to be completed. There are scholarships for almost anything, and they often come from anywhere. The school guidance counselor often sends several out, but there the internet offers many more scholarship opportunities to be discovered online.

While filling out scholarships, Seniors also have to start looking into colleges. Once they find their passion and what they want to do for a living after high school, they have to find the perfect place to study these passions. College choices can also be affected by distance from home, the courses offered, and also price. To keep their options open, students should make sure to fill out those scholarships so that their choices aren’t as limited by financial constraints.
