Wildfires have swept over California for years, and this year has been no exception. As of Wednesday morning, three major fires have been causing lots of mayhem for California firefighters and citizens. One fire, in Butte County, has already resulted in at least 48 confirmed deaths. With this number, the “Camp Fire” as it is called, is now considered the deadliest in the state’s history. From the last report, it is said that only 35% of the fire is contained. The “Camp Fire” has burned 135,000 acres of land, destroyed 7,600 houses, and 8,871 structures in total.

Between Los Angeles County and Ventura County, the Woosley Fire has also been burning its way across homes and acreage. This has been the most talked about fire of the three due to the celebrities who have lost their homes and have spoken out on social media about the fire. Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, and Gerard Butler are a few examples of people who have lost their homes due to the fires. Others, including Shane Dawson, Kim Kardashian, and Lady Gaga have spoken out about the evacuation of their homes. Singer Liam Payne has also shared that he is unaware of the state of his home. There are lots of people, celebrity and not alike, who have suffered the damage and uncertainty of this fire. The Woolsey Fire in particular has claimed two lives and burned 97,620 acres of land. Firefighters are still working to contain the fire, but have only successfully contained 47% of it.

Lastly, the Hill Fire has been burning in Ventura County. Thankfully, no lives have been taken by this fire as of the publication of this article, and it is 94% contained. However, 4,531 acres have been wiped out by the flames. Firefighters are hopeful this fire will soon be contained.
