Third Time’s a Charm: Hillary 2020

Isaac Loker

Hillary Rodham Clinton, former secretary of state and candidate for President of the United States of America, is expected by many to run for president again in 2020.  A former Clinton adviser Mark Penn wrote an op-ed saying that the former first lady and secretary of state is readying a: “Hillary 4.0.” In the Wall Street Journal op-ed, Penn, a longtime Clinton adviser, said that in a 2020 run, Hillary would reinvent herself as a “Liberal Fire-band” and that the twice failed presidential candidate would not  “let a little thing like two stunning defeats stand in the way of her claim to the White House.”  Clinton, when asked about a potential 2020 run always shot down the idea of another campaign. She did, however, say, “I’d like to be president.”  Though Penn and Stein had no outline of how Clinton would improve her awful standing in the Midwest area and find a way to shake the scandals and controversies that covered her last campaign.  The writers who wrote in also said to not expect to see Clinton as a Democratic candidate early in the race, but by the time the primaries got into full swing, be ready to see her come out swinging.   Neither Andrew Stein or Mark Penn are of any connection to Clinton at the moment, and are in no sort connected to her campaign, so do not take their words as an announcement on Clinton’s behalf.
