Boy’s Basketball: Mid Season Update

Dane Horton

The Wayne City Indians have so far pulled off a Winning season with a record of 12 wins and 6 losses.  They are undefeated in conference games and hope to continue their streak as the season moves forward. Early in the season, the boys won third place in the Christopher tournament.  In the Conrad Allen Tournament, they pulled off two wins and two losses giving them fourth place.

They still have 10 games to play before they start regionals.  Their schedule from now on is filled with tough competition and large schools.  Some of these include; Fairfield, Edwards County, Johnston City, Flora, and Woodlawn.  The Indians have may have a rough road in the next week playing five games in eight days (Fairfield, Edwards County, Johnston City, and Flora included).  Despite the tough competition the boys have high hopes and chances of a twenty win season before entering regionals where they intend to take a championship.
