As Spring rolls around each year, several new members are initiated into Beta Club. The Senior Beta Club initiation for the 2018-2019 school year was held Thursday, February 21, at 6:00 p.m. in the Wayne City Schools library. Beta Club initiation was mandatory for all Beta Club members. This year the majority of the newly initiated Beta Club members were freshman. Fourteen freshman were initiated on Thursday along with two sophomores and two seniors. There was a good turnout this year for the ceremony because a lot of the students brought their family members with them. The ceremony usually lasts around 30 minutes, depending on how many new members there are. After the ceremony, members stayed for pictures and refreshments that included cupcakes and soda.
