FFA Banquet

Isaac Loker

The FFA Banquet is Saturday, March 16, and the FFA members, as well as the Alumni, are anxiously awaiting the big night.  The club will be setting up Friday (March 15) afternoon and evening, as well as Saturday morning.  Setup will include lining the performance gymnasium floor with carpet, and placing and arranging tables and chairs.

Once the tables and chairs are set up and in order, members will begin with decorations.  The decorations are chosen by FFA sponsor Mrs. Jennifer Ehrhart with the help of some members. While all the decoration is under way, some members will be busy setting up the auction items. There will be donations for the silent auction coming in all day and also items for the live auction as well.

The ceremony will begin with the officers opening ceremonies, followed by a blessing of the meal, cooked and catered by Steve and Paula Ehrhart. While the members and guests eat, a short talk will be given by State FFA Secretary Miriam Hoffman. After the keynote, members who have earned degrees or awards will be honored. Members and guests will then go through the work day auction. Members who were selected for the work day auction will be sold to the highest bidder for a full days work. Following the work day auction, the live auction will be held. To close the night, the newly elected officers will be formally installed to their positions, and the closing ceremonies will follow.  Come on out to the banquet for a fun night of food, fellowship, and a good time.
