Homework Style

Homework, when it comes down to it, creates two types of people. The “get ‘er dones” and the procrastinators. Some people, knowing that they have homework, get started as soon as they can so that they can get it finished and have time to do the things that they have to do. They like to make and maintain good grades. Other people, knowing they have homework, just don’t get in any hurry. They put it off until the last minute. Then, they have to rush and take a chance on getting as good of a grade as if they would have spent more time and concentrated harder on the assignment. Having talked to students here at Wayne City High School, they have all said something different but with the same meaning. Junior Kylee Gregory said, “I procrastinate. That means I wait till the last minute.” Another student, Senior Alicia Garellick, said, “I usually try to get it done early, because I don’t like rushing around to get it done at the last minute.” Everyone has had homework most of their school years. Maybe they have learned something from it that they can take with them out into the real world.
