Almond milk has gotten more and more popular over the last few years. It is not only a good replacement for milk for vegans and people with lactose intolerance, but it is also really healthy. Almonds are small power packets and contain lots of wholesome ingredients like magnesium and calcium.

Self-made almond milk is much cheaper than buying it in a supermarket, and there are no additives like sugar or salt in it. This recipe is made out of two ingredients, so it is really easy and fast to make:

To make four cups of almond milk, five cups of water and one cup of almonds are necessary.

Put the almonds into one and a half cups of water and let them sit for 8-10 hours, so it is easier to puree them later. Drain the almonds and put them, together with three and a half cups of water, in a blender. Honey can additionally be added for sweetness. Blend it until the almonds are shredded, and it has the color of milk. Drain the mixture with a clean towel in a container. Throw the remaining solid substance away, and enjoy your homemade almond milk!
