News watchers may have heard of the new disease called the Coronavirus. This virus started in China and has slowly overtime traveled to other countries like the US, a case reported in Chicago, Canada, and now a new case reported in Britain. According to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, 40,626 cases have been documented and the death rate has now reached a whopping 910 reported globally. According to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, “On January 31, 2020, Health and Human Services Secretary Alex M. Azar II declared a public health emergency (PHE) for the United States to aid the nation’s healthcare community in responding to COVID-19.”

So how does it spread? Scientists and medical professionals say it is just like any other cough or sickness, it is spread through human to human transmission or coming into contact with an area that has been infected with the virus.  So is it curable then? As of now we have nothing but President Trump has been taking this virus very seriously in order to keep America safe and in doing so he has been working with Chinese´s President, Xi Jinping, scientists and medical professionals to find a cure to keep Americans like us and other people safe from getting the virus.  Since then the spreading of the virus has started to decrease, but is still slowly spreading to more and more people.
