Graduation Preparation

Kendy Anderson, Reporter

Graduation is coming soon in just a few months and seniors are on go mode. Mrs. Kissner helps all seniors who are filling out scholarships for college. All scholarships are different, some require a letter of recommendation or two, from a teacher or a mentor of theirs. Scholarships are very helpful to students, they range from $100 to $10,000. Another option for help on expenses is FAFSA. Before each year of college, apply for federal grants, work-study, and loans with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, FAFSA form. Colleges use your FAFSA data to determine your federal aid eligibility. After submission, students receive your Student Aid Report. Mrs. Kissner encourages all seniors to fill out as many scholarships as they can.

Seniors also have more responsibilities to juggle with pictures for their senior ads and the graduation slideshow. For the graduation slideshow, seniors need to bring two baby pictures and one current picture. These pictures need to be handed in to Nurse Twilla very soon so she can build the graduation presentation. Also, seniors can buy a senior ad to be put in the yearbook from Mrs. Keen and the journalism students. These range from $50-$300 depending on the size selected. Listen to the announcements for further deadlines for all seniors.
