Plans for Panama City

Like other graduating classes across the state, the Wayne City High School Class of 2021 is sadly getting their senior year taken away from them: No trips, no activities, and sadly no normal graduation. The Class of 2021, is holding on strong. With the Pandemic and the wild winter weather, they have had a rough year, but they are still trying to make their senior year as fun as they can. The class cannot go to Washington D.C. or on any other school sponsored trip due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Senior, Laina McKinney said, “I am very upset about not being able to go to Washington D.C. with my class. We have been so excited to be able to go together, and use all the money that we have raised over the past four years.” The moms of the class are planning a trip themselves. With many ideas in mind, they are thinking about going to Panama City Beach in May. The class sponsors are giving the money back to the class, so they can use it on whatever they want. “I am excited about being able to go to Panama City with my friends. Once we graduate, we won’t be seeing each other as much. I am trying to soak up all the memories as I can,” says Senior Jaden Boyd.
