The Annual bean days festival tractor show begins this Saturday with all kinds of new and antique tractors for visitors to see. According to the Wayne City Bean Days Facebook page, the tractor show will be happening on Saturday, September 25, and is set to begin at 7 am and will conclude at 10 am when the parade will start. According to the Wayne County Press, the show will be held in the Wayne City Schools parking lot on the northwest side. The tractors will be judged and the judges’ verdicts will be announced during the bean Days parade starting at 10 am, the top 15 tractors will receive an award.

When asked what he liked most about being in the tractor show, Joe Barefield, a Wayne City High School graduate from the class of 1965, said this “So much variety in tractors. People were so excited and friendly during the parade. The candy may have had something to do with that. Not sure.”

The tractor show will be the only vehicle show at Bean Days this year, due to the cancelation of the Bean Days Car Show. The Bean Days Car Show was cancelled because they could not find enough volunteers to help run the show.
