Budgeting Brings Christmas Baskets!

Budgeting Brings Christmas Baskets!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. The time to spread joy and kindness to all, but it’s also the most stressful time of the year. Especially when it comes to gift buying, people always want to buy something that the person can actually use and it won’t just be thrown in a closet or the worst a gift to regift to someone next year. Finding a gift that doesn’t cost a fortune can also be a hard task. A great budget friendly gift that you also can put some thought into is a DIY gift basket.  With all the sales going on with Black Friday, you can find everything you need for your basket, at half the price. Some might wonder what to put into said baskets and that’s where the Journalism staff is here to help. For girls, the most popular items were a blanket, fuzzy socks, a reusable cup, candy, and lotion. Now for the boys, they really couldn’t think of what boys would want. After a lot of pondering they came up with candy, cologne, a hoodie, a game gift card, soda, and snacks. What if you were needing to buy for a family or a couple? The Journalism staff also has you covered there too. For your family/couple gift basket, you should include picture frames, bonus points if you have pictures of them to put in them, a summer sausage and cheese set, movies, and a restaurant gift card. Hopefully these ideas help you buy for the special people in your life and have a Happy Holidays!
