Future of FFA

Saturday March 19 will be the annual FFA banquet for our Wayne City Chapter. This single event is one of the highest funding events for our FFA chapter. At the banquet, there will be a meal served and prepared by Steve Ehrhart and his wife. There will be a variety of items out on display for silent auction, a gun raffle, and they also auction off fellow members of the organization for a day’s worth of work for the buyer. There is also a slideshow presented to the audience of things all the members have participated in this school year. Members are presented with various awards like the Greenhand Degree, Chapter Degree, State Degree, and American Degree. The retiring officers will be replaced with new officers that are ready to take on the responsibility of the 2022-2023 school year. Retiring FFA officer Ethan Thomason said, “I enjoy getting to see the things we accomplished this year, I also can not wait to be auctioned off this Saturday.”  With this being one of our biggest money raising events, many people make generous donations in support of this organization that helps our community tremendously. FFA member Vanessa Schooley stated, “My favorite part of the banquet is seeing the new officer team be placed in and seeing what they can do for the next year for our chapter.”
