Turnin’ Up the Tribe

Let’s go Indians, Let’s go! Many students think the Lady Indians volleyball team has gotten off to a good start to the season with the help of the pep club! The Tribe has increased in numbers this year and is bringing the much needed energy to all home games. The theme for the home opener against the Fairfield Mules was jersey night. The students wore Jerseys of all sorts. When asked why he enjoys pep club, Junior Tanner McNeil, replied, “I love cheering on the girls and getting into the game with all my buddies.” The second home game of the season was against Cisne High School. The student section showed their school spirit by dressing up in red, black, and white clothes. Senior volleyball player, Kelby Wood, said, “The team really appreciates pep club because it helps us play better and it makes the game more fun.” The students started chants, played games, and cheered loudly throughout the whole game and the team came away with a well earned win! Red out night was the third home game and once again the Tribe did not disappoint! Freshman, James Walker, painted his whole face red in support of the team. The Indians rounded out their home stint with a game against Sandoval and the pep club theme was white out. The Lady Indians volleyball players all love the support and energy that the pep club brings. The next home game is Monday, September 19 against NCOE and the theme is beach night! Make sure to come in beach gear and cheer on the team!
