The Wayne City High School Varsity Scholar Bowl team as of November 13 has a undefeated record of 5-0 and the Junior Varsity has only lost one game.
Scholar Bowl is a school sponsored trivia team of five people that compete against other schools in categories of math, English, social studies, science, and miscellaneous topics. The varsity seniors have been studying by splitting the topics amongst the starters. Coach Jessica Fagan said that, “It has been a fun season so far, and I hope we continue to perform well and bring home some trophies!”
After getting runner-up in the 2022-23 regionals double elimantion lower bracket, the current seniors started studying so they could win the tournament this year. Varisty Captain, senior Liam Smith, said,”It was a close game last year for regionals. We have to get it back in blood.”
