Testing, Testing 1,2,3

The PSAT stands for Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test. It’s a standardized test that measures readiness for college. It tests skills in reading, writing, and math. It’s also the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, so high scores can lead to a scholarship. The PSAT is a great way to get a feel for the SAT. It helps students understand the types of questions they will see, the test structure, and the time constraints. Plus, it can highlight areas students need to work on before taking the SAT. It is usually taken in Sophomore or Junior year of high school. It is a great tool for students to use to plan their study strategy for the SAT.

The PSAT is like a practice test for the SAT. It helps students get ready and can even get them a scholarship! Taking the PSAT gives students an idea of what to expect on the SAT and helps them identify areas to focus on. It is helpful to start preparing for college. Mary Griswold, one of the PSAT test administrators said, “This is a stressful day for everyone! I’m proud of our students and their hard work!”
