Bathroom Bandits

This Trend Has Gone Too Far

A social media trend that took the world by storm. The “devious licks” trend began on September 1, when a TikTok user posted a video of him pulling a mask box out of his backpack. He claimed that he stole the box from his school and captioned the video, “Only a month into school and I already have this devious lick.”

Wayne City school has had its fair share of attacks by these so-called devious licks. Some of these “licks” would be soap dispensers, light switch covers, outlet covers, paper towel rolls, and toilet paper. It seems as if people are stealing more important things here, like soap dispensers in the middle of a pandemic. Some people have even had their P.E. clothes stolen or dunked in the toilet, unlike the internet trend where they mainly stole meaningless things.

If students are caught doing any of these things they will either have to pay for the damages or work off their debt. Mr. Lingafelter, high school  principal, commented on these “devious licks.” “Vandalism and stealing are both uncalled for. Any student caught doing either of these will receive consequences. We are fortunate enough to have one of the nicer school facilities in the area, and it is very unfortunate that a select few students are doing things to damage the building.” Luckily over the past few days the trend has died down, so lets just hope that this trend stays dead.
