“I Hate Watching an Episode a Week, I’m More of a Season a Day Type of Person”

Allison Green

Summer can get boring pretty fast, so how should students entertain themselves? Everyone loves TV, especially TV shows that they just can’t seem to take their focus off of. Binge watching is the practice of watching television for a long time span, something that teenagers do on a daily basis.

The WCHS Journalism class (seventeen students) was asked what they binged watched this summer. Forty seven percent of my class said Riverdale. Riverdale is about the death of one of the popular Blossom twins on the 4th of July, and the town of Riverdale investigates the murder. Thanks to Netflix, students can watch pretty much anything and however much they want a day. When asked what they had to say about the intriguing mystery classmates stated, “I spent many of my hours of my day watching Riverdale. I forgot what summer was!” So, if students are ever bored they just turn on Netflix and sit back and enjoy for about 3 days straight.

The poll results were:

Shameless – 1

Riverdale – 8

The Ranch – 1

DC Legends of Tomorrow – 1

The Night Shift – 1
