CEO: Lurking in Leadership

Wayne County CEO is set to host the highly anticipated “Trail of Torture” on Saturday, October 28, at the location of 665 County Road 2400 E Fairfield. This spine-chilling haunted trail is not only an exciting event for thrill-seekers, but also serves as the main class business for the students of Wayne County CEO, providing them with the opportunity to fund their individual entrepreneurial ventures later in the year.

According to waynecountyceo.com, the Wayne County CEO program aims to equip individuals, “particularly the youth, to be responsible, enterprising individuals who become entrepreneurs or entrepreneurial thinkers and contribute to economic development and sustainable communities.” As part of this program, students have had the privilege of visiting various businesses, where they gain valuable insights into entrepreneurship, learn tips and tricks on running a business, and acquire a comprehensive understanding of the many aspects of the business world. These business visits play a key role in shaping the students’ own entrepreneurial endeavors.

The Young Entrepreneurs of CEO

The “Trail of Torture” has been carefully planned and executed by all 12 students of Wayne County CEO, with each of them playing a significant role in its development. However, it hasn’t been without its fair share of challenges. Lily Gacek, a student involved in the project, emphasizes, “In order to overcome the obstacles thrown at me throughout the trail, I need to have the correct mindset. Without critical thinking skills, I would not be able to solve problems thrown at me such as insurance issues and injuries in an adequate, timely manner.”

The “Trail of Torture” not only promises a thrilling experience for visitors but also provides the participating students with firsthand exposure to the intricacies of running their own businesses. By dividing the profits raised from this event among its students, Wayne County CEO aims to offer them a jump-start in launching their individual businesses.

As the “Trail of Torture” approaches, let’s wish these ambitious students the best of luck and show our support by attending this hair-raising event. It’s an excellent opportunity to witness the peak of their hard work and determination. So mark your calendars and brace yourself to experience the “Trail of Torture”!
