Cody Nguyen was chosen as the April Senior of the Month. Wayne City High School Secretary, Kathy Braddock, announced Cody’s win on April 2. Cody did not believe that it was his name that was called. His friends tried to tell him that it was his name, but he did not believe them. “I did not hear my name called on the announcements. I just thought they were messing with me until Kathy said it was my name called,” said Cody Nguyen. 

Cody considering going to Rend Lake College to pursue an career in engineering. He spends his free time playing basketball at the park, working out at Walker’s Gym, and working hard at Freddy’s in Mt. Vernon. Cody is described by his friends as hard-working and quiet but hilarious when he talks. Most students agree he can be pretty introverted, but once you get him comfortable enough he is a riot. Liam Smith said, “You should ask Cody about his Green Bay Packers joke. The joke is a banger.”
