Before the end of April, senior students went on a trip to the U.S. capital, Washington, D.C. They left the school on a charter bus, stopping in Cisne to pick up other seniors before beginning the long trip.
After arriving in Washington, the students visited the National Air and Space Museum, toured the United States Capitol and visited several memorials.
Over the next four days, the seniors and their advisers had the opportunity to see many more monuments and memorials throughout the nation’s capital, including the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and Arlington National Cemetery. In addition to visiting historical sites, students also had free time to try new restaurants, buy souvenirs and visit a Crumbl Cookies with friends.
Before returning home, the group visited Thomas Jefferson Memorial and ate at a tavern in Virginia.
Jacey Smith, a senior, said, “D.C. was amazing. There were so many things to see, and I am glad I got to experience it with my best friend, Addyson.”
Despite being exhausted from the trip, many seniors said they were happy with the lasting memories they made during their final class trip of high school.
