The annual Wayne City Halloween Carnival was held on Oct. 26, 2025, at First Christian Church at 4 p.m. The event is known as a fun way to kick off the Halloween spirit with games, prizes and candy for kids of all ages.
Each year, the carnival features a Halloween costume contest, with the winner receiving a cash prize. The Wayne City High School Beta Club helped set up games for the event.
“Even though it was rainy, I had a lot of fun helping Mrs. Beehn set up the games,” said Beta Club member junior Caylan Piper.
There were plenty of games to enjoy, including tic-tac-toe, bowling, volleyball and ping pong.
“I played a lot of games, ran tic-tac-toe for Beta Club, and lost to a bunch of four-year-old kids while playing games,” said junior Mandolin Mooney.
Several community members, in addition to students, helped set up games for everyone to enjoy. Despite the rainy, cold weather, participants still came out to celebrate.
“I really enjoyed getting to hand out candy to all the kids, even though it was rainy and cold,” said Abbie Young.
Thanks to the hard work of everyone involved, many attendees felt this year’s Halloween Carnival was a success.
